Wellness Exams and Preventative Care

Preventive treatment is the first step in maintaining your pet's health. For young to early middle-aged pets, we recommend annual wellness exams. Because pets mature faster than people, senior dogs and cats over the age of eight should get semi-annual veterinary checkups.

The sooner something is detected, the more effective the therapy will be in keeping your pet healthy and happy. Vaccinations are important, but exams are crucial to our pets’ longevity.

We also recommend blood and lab work during your pet’s annual exam (sometimes two a year if your pets go to daycare regularly). This helps catch diseases, parasites, and problems early so that preemptive measures are more effective.

Each pet is unique and we’ll discuss which exams are most beneficial and how often.

Vaccinations

Puppy and kitten vaccinations are crucial because their immune systems are still developing and need to be protected in order to stay healthy.

Vaccines are the most effective defense against a wide range of viral and bacterial illnesses. Our hope is to keep your pets safe from dangerous infections like canine parvovirus and feline panluekopenia as well as many others.

We’ll discuss which vaccinations are best for your pets during your visit.

Dental Care

It's critical to start oral hygiene regimens for your pets while they're still young. Dental cleanings should be combined with everyday at-home oral hygiene, such as teeth brushing. Taking care of your pet's teeth extends their life and improves their quality of life.

Dental illness can cause pain, eating difficulties, and tooth loss. In severe cases, it can transport bacteria to the kidneys, liver, and heart, resulting in severe organ disease.

We offer the latest in veterinary dental care including digital x-rays and comprehensive dental health assessments.

Surgeries

Our clinic provides a wide range of surgical operations, from sterilization to more complex procedures such as brachycephalic obstructive airway modification.

And we’ll discuss all options available to your pet during your consultation including non-surgical alternatives.

Acupuncture and Laser Therapy

Whether your pet is recovering from an injury or trauma or simply aging, they can benefit from these novel approaches to pain management.

Studies have shown acupuncture helps reduce pain and inflammation while also improving a pet’s quality of life.

Small needles are injected into muscles, tendons, fascia, and nerve fibers to alleviate symptoms via changing perceptions of pain.

Low-level laser therapy (sometimes called cool laser therapy) concentrates red and infrared light on tissue just beneath the skin's surface.

Lasers help to speed up the healing process by promoting vascular dilatation and synthesis, which increases blood flow to the damaged area. While providing minor pain management, the stimulation releases the body's natural pain-relieving chemicals.

Comfort Care

Whether your pet is nearing the end of their life or has been diagnosed with a terminal condition, we can help reduce their distress and manage their pain.

If you choose to care for them at home, we’ll help guide you through it and offer the best end-of-life care to keep them comfortable and anxiety free.
